Lodi, California
has a rich history of cultivating grapes and winemaking dating back to the 1800s. Just east of Napa, Lodi’s climate and terroir make it an ideal location for a variety of grapes, however its reputation was first solidified as the “Tokay Capital of the World”.
Known for its cool wet winters and dense fog, the summers in Lodi are conversely hot and dry. Over 100 grape varietals are currently being cultivated in the Lodi region. Having received multiple international awards, since the appellation was formed in the 1980s, Lodi has fast built a global reputation.
Since its fruition, Lodi has been a leader in sustainable wine cultivation with its Integrated Pest Management Program now being adopted California wide, known as Lodi Rules.
